For all the action while you retreat in our fine log cabin accommodation in Horopito. Take up the challenge of guided hunting for Sika, Red & Fallow deer,4WD & mountain bike trails, wild deer photography, bird watching, fly fishing here on Lahar Lake, farm hiking the start of the "Old Coach Road" cycleway from Horopito to Ohakune or ramble through 'Smash Palace". In winter just a 30 min.drive to ski or board Mt Ruapehu. Hike the spectacular Tongariro Alpine Crossing, jet boat or canoe the Wanganui River, from the central North Island, New Zealand
Lahar lodge is set in a private enclave surrounded by tall native beech forest. The pond and wide panoramic views of Mt. Ruapehu beyond Lahar Farm set the scene. Sole occupancy ensures you and your friends retreat in style at Lahar Lodge. Built from full size Douglas fir logs, a special feature is the log stairway to the bedrooms and balcony views. The Lodge is ready to move into and equipped for self-catering, just bring your own food supplies. Your rural vista is dominated by Mt. Ruapehu, New Zealand's highest volcanic peak.

(Not available in the ski season, mid June to mid Nov) A Breakfast Basket of supplies in your cabin for self
serve. Continental style @ $10 per person.
Dinner:- Plenty of dining choices in the Ohakune, National Park & Raetihi - restaurants and cafes. Food Supplies:- New World supermarket in Ohakune, 10 muinute drive.
Sleeping capacity
Two large warm family share bedrooms upstairs
with a shared balcony. Beds are made up with full linen and electric blankets.
Pond side Bedroom - 1 queen, 1 single
Road side Bedroom - 1 queen, 2 singles as a bunk
Downstairs - Couch folds into a double bed
MAX people - 7 in beds, (plus 2 on the fold out couch)
Bathroom Facilities.The lodge has one main bathroom containing a shower and hand basin. Adjacent is a separate toilet room.

Arrival time mid-day onwards, minimum stay two nights.
Vacate time is 10 am unless previously arranged

To secure your booking a prior deposit of $180 is required.

Cancellation policy
A full refund is only available with more than 3 weeks notice prior to your booking arrival date. Otherwise an administration fee of $90 will be charged and any balance returned.
